In a three-part virtual workshop series, water leaders, practitioners, and community champions will build and strengthen core competencies needed to advance One Water solutions. Drawing one the One Water Leadership Guides and rooted in the real-world experience of successful One Water practitioners, this series will equip participants with practical skills to effectively communicate about One Water, forge cross-sector partnerships, and navigate regulatory challenges.
Session 3: Navigating Regulatory Silos and Building Toward Flexibility
One Water champions and regulators are united by a shared mission: protecting public health and the environment. Regulators also have distinct legal responsibilities and constraints that they must operate within. When we acknowledge these responsibilities and work together to address them, we create space for innovative and integrated solutions to take root. This session will support participants in developing the skills to identify regulatory challenges and explore opportunities for flexibility and alignment.
