Denmark and the US Join Forces in the Water Sector's Race to Zero

Value of Water Campaign Releases Annual Poll

Today, the Value of Water Campaign released the results of its seventh annual national poll—The Value of Water Index. The poll annually tracks voters’ opinions and concerns around water infrastructure, climate, the environment, and other water issues. Request for Proposals: The State of One Water

Today, in partnership with the One Water Council, the US Water Alliance is issuing a Request for Proposals to support our work assessing the state of the One Water field. To guide this effort, a group of One Water Council members has defined baseline information and metrics needed to track the critical mass of people, places, and practices involved in our movement over time. ​The consultant chosen through this RFP process will be part of critical efforts to evaluate and track the growth of the One Water movement, helping us collectively strategize for the widespread adoption and normalization of integrated, inclusive, equitable, and sustainable water management. | More >

Equitable Infrastructure: The Next Initiative of the US Water Alliance

For the last several years, two of the US Water Alliance’s primary programs have focused on the importance of investing in our nation’s water infrastructure and advancing an equitable water future. US Water Alliance Applauds Passage of Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation

November 8, 2021

The US House of Representatives passed the bipartisan infrastructure package on Friday night, known at the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, by a vote of 228 to 206 (having previously passed the Senate in August). The bill is expected to be quickly signed by President Biden. This legislation marks a historic investment in infrastructure, with $550 billion in spending on transportation, energy, and water—including more than $55 billion in water infrastructure. | More >

Mami Hara Named US Water Alliance CEO

Today, the Board of Directors of the US Water Alliance announced that Mami Hara will be the organization’s next CEO. Mami currently serves as general manager and CEO of Seattle Public Utilities and previously served as the first deputy commissioner at Philadelphia Water. With over three decades of experience in water and land management, Mami advances sustainable practices through investments, workforce development, cultivating leaders and partnerships, inclusive community participation, science-based decisions and planning, and knowledge sharing.  | More >
