A decade ago, The Value of Water Campaign launched an initiative to help all Americans become advocates for the water systems that sustain us and allow our communities to thrive. Now in its tenth year, Imagine a Day Without Water—which will be held this year on October 17—continues to serve as a powerful opportunity for us to come together and call for the responsible management, funding, and protection of our most precious resource.
Each year, the impacts of Imagine a Day Without Water grow tremendously—from utility site visits, to student art contests, to clever Instagram reels, to mayoral proclamations in recognition of the day, and so much more. This election year, let’s get 10 times louder about the importance of water in our daily lives and the ongoing need to invest in water infrastructure to secure reliable, safe, and affordable systems for generations to come.
