Delegations are affinity groups working together to advance the One Water movement. These peer groups form amongst One Water Summit attendees each year and are comprised of seven or more people sharing geography, subject matter interest, field of practice, and/or policy goals. Delegations form in advance of each year’s Summit to enhance and leverage the Summit experience by maximizing peer-exchange facilitation, knowledge building, and networking.
Delegations can help stakeholders build on existing collaborations or can be a means to foster new relationships. Whether or not you have an established working group, delegations help water leaders identify and develop new strategies to tackle challenges back home. Being part of a delegation is a powerful way to work with strategic partners on the implementation of One Water management in your region or communities of practice before, during, and after Summit.
Some of the special features the US Water Alliance offers to One Water Summit Delegations include discounted Summit registration, pre- and post-Summit briefing sessions with Alliance staff, peer-to-peer exchanges at Summit, publication in the Summit program, opportunities for guest columns, and the platform to make public commitments to action during the closing plenary of Summit.
