John Take is the Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer at Stantec. John oversees the activities of Stantec’s five business operating units with a focus on strategic growth initiatives and campaigns, client relationships and development, management and development of key accounts, and client service initiatives. He also serves as a member of Stantec’s Disclosure Committee. Over the past 30 years, John has been involved in hundreds of One Water projects around the world in both the municipal and industrial sectors. John earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of New Brunswick and his master’s in water resources engineering from the University of Alberta. In addition to his diverse and extensive Stantec portfolio and his role as a board member with the US Water Alliance, John is a member of and has been involved with professional organizations such as the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, the AZ Water Association, and the Water Environment Federation. John has an active commitment to community and volunteers on the Executive Leadership Council of Water For People, as well as multiple organizations focused on delivering education, training, and micro-loan-funded support of entrepreneurial business startups for the growing and thriving refugee and immigrant community in southern Arizona.
