Water Policy
Bold, equitable water policy is foundational to economic stability, environmental protection, and community public health and well-being. After decades of underinvestment, the funding for water infrastructure allocated in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law was a historic federal commitment to safeguarding and expanding access to clean and safe water services. The path to a One Water future will require continued investment in and partnerships for transformative federal and global policies focused on ensuring sustainable, safe, and equitable stewardship of resources and access to water.
Advancing One Water Policy Change
To forward One Water policy action, the US Water Alliance leads and convenes the Value of Water campaign—the unifying voice for nationwide water infrastructure investment; unites leaders at local, state, and federal levels under shared goals; and provides research, training, and resources for lawmakers and others playing a role in shaping policy.
