Awarded at One Water Summit, the US Water Prize celebrates outstanding achievement in the advancement of sustainable, integrated, and inclusive solutions to our nation’s water challenges. Now in its 14th year, it is the preeminent national recognition program for exemplary efforts to secure a sustainable water future for all.
Here are the US Water Prize categories for 2025:

We are excited to include a new award in 2025 recognizing a member of the water utility workforce for their exceptional commitment to providing community water services. And stay tuned for the US Water Prize’s first-ever People’s Choice Award for Social and Innovative Media, where each of you will have a chance to vote on the source of your favorite water content this year!
The deadline to apply is Wednesday, February 12 at 8:00 pm ET. Winners will be chosen by an independent review panel of One Water experts and will be announced and recognized at the Alliance’s One Water Summit, held July 8 – 11, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
