John Take

EVP and Chief Growth & Innovation Officer, Stantec

John Take is Stantec’s Chief Growth and Innovation Officer and leads the activities of Stantec’s five business operating units with a focus on strategic growth initiatives and client & partner relationships. John is a member of the ASU Water Institute Advisory Board and serves on the External Advisory Committee of the University of Arizona’s Water Resources Research Center. John also currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the US Water Alliance and chairs the water sustainability focused “Project Hourglass” initiative for the Canada Arizona Business Council. He is also one of Canada’s Global Executives, in recognition of his role as a strategic advisor to Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service and Canadian companies in various local markets. Over the past 30 years, John has been involved in hundreds of One Water projects around the world in both the municipal and industrial sectors. John earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of New Brunswick and his master’s in water resources engineering from the University of Alberta. John has an active commitment to community and volunteers with multiple organizations focused on delivering education, training, and micro-loan-funded support of entrepreneurial business startups for the growing and thriving refugee and immigrant community in southern Arizona.
