Water, Environment, and Technology (WE&T), the flagship publication of the Water Environment Federation, published a story in their May 2021 issue on different organizations in the water sector embracing the ‘artists-in-residence’ approach, which highlights the work of the US Water Alliance’s own Artist-in-Residence, Benny Starr.
The article dives into Benny’s intersectional understanding of art, water, environmental justice, and equity, and also notes how the Alliance leverages its Artist-in-Residence program to “disrupt our usual ways of thinking and problem-solving, exploring ways we can do better, innovate, and shift culture in the water sector,” as framed by Alliance Senior Program Manager, Katy Lackey.
