American Water Works Association launched a new resource page focused on lead in water. The idea was to include information specifically about Flint and also, and importantly, about lead in water in general. The page has a plethora of information including technical resources, research and news from a variety of sources including a list of research from the Water Research Foundation and the standard method for testing for lead (from “Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater” published by WEF, APHA and AWWA). A joint association statement and the Value of Water Coalition “Guiding Principles for Securing our Water Future” are also included on the resource page.
