US Water Prize Nominations Form

Application Deadline: March 1, 2016

Please utilize this online form to submit a nomination for the US Water Prize. An individual can nominate the organization that they work for, or another organization. The requested reference letters and any supporting documentation can be uploaded using this form, or they can be emailed to Hope Hurley: hhurley@uswateralliance.org

The deadline for submission is March 1, 2016. Only completed nominations will be considered. You will receive a confirmation email that you submission was received. 2016 US Water Prize Winners will be announced early May 2016, and the awards ceremony will be held at the One Water Summit 2016 in Atlanta, GA on June 8-10, 2016.

Please describe why the organization is deserving of a US Water Prize, and who would be able to accept the award at the US Water Prize ceremony in Atlanta in June 2016 on behalf of the nominee. (300 word limit)
Please provide a more in-depth description of the project or initiative. The description should clearly illustrate why the project is an innovative approach to advancing one water sustainability. Please include specific accomplishments and outcomes that have been achieved by the project or organization. (1000 word limit).

Up to ten pages of additional supporting documentation such as articles, publications, reports, book excerpts and multimedia materials that provide relevant support to the nomination may be submitted, but are not required. Expectation of Winners

The US Water Alliance will choose three winners to receive the 2016 US Water Prize. The following are expectations of these winners:

  • Water Prize Winners must have a senior member of their staff, board, or governing council attend the award ceremony in Atlanta in June 2016 to accept the award.
  • Actively promote the US Water Prize ceremony and program through the organization’s communication channels including website, newsletter, press releases, and printed media.
  • Be available for media interviews.
  • Participate in a webinar featuring the winning achievement.
  • Consider developing a brief video providing an overview of the winning achievement.
