The US Water Alliance is pleased to announce a new member-only resource: One Water Leadership Institutes! Our first Institute will be hosted by the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and will focus on the topic of Adaptive Leadership. Be sure to check out the agenda.

One Water Leadership Institutes are free of charge for Alliance members. Two breakfasts, two lunches, a networking dinner, and an optional site visit are included. Attendees are responsible for lodging and transportation to Madison. Space is limited so please register now! An Alliance member organization may send up to 2 individuals, but additional individuals from the same organization may be added to the waiting list.

One Water is a transformative idea that envisions managing all water in an integrated, inclusive, and sustainable manner. This type of effort requires new interventions that are outside normal management techniques. This work starts with you, requires a clear purpose, and is risky. It is the work of leadership.

At One Water Leadership Institute: Adaptive Leadership, you will strengthen your practice of leadership by learning the adaptive leadership framework. This framework outlines a systemic, practical set of strategies and tools to help those who dare to lead, make progress on difficult challenges. This Institute will provide the knowledge, skills, and tools for One Water Leaders to mobilize others to do important work around change and to thrive. It will strengthen a person's ability to lead meaningful change through systematic approaches.

This Institute will be taught by Michael Mucha, Chief Engineer and Director of the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, and draws from his decades of experience in a broad range of change efforts.
