Urban Water Sustainability Leadership Conference Coming this December!
Mark your calendar – the U.S. Water Alliance will host the Urban Water Sustainability Leadership Conference: Going Green on the Triple Bottom Line, December 6-7, 2010, in Philadelphia. Join the Alliance’s Urban Water Sustainability Council as it showcases the leading U.S. city models in green practices and resource recovery for water sustainability.
Cities are shifting at ambitious scales to green infrastructure – a rapid and thorough exchange of experience is needed. The implementers – agency leaders, their staff and affiliated experts, will share innovations, strategies, and best practices, for making green infrastructure the centerpiece of the urban water world. In addition, leaders from the fields of philanthropy, water, sustainability, infrastructure, planning, politics, and science will identify the policy and system changes needed for substantive progress toward water sustainability.
The event is being sponsored in part by the William Penn Foundation, and University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School (Institute for Urban Research & the Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership.) Registration will open later this month but space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can email Kristyn Abhold at firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on a list for an early-bird conference package!
